Even in his collegiate years, Alex Von Furstenberg portrayed a low profile image in his school, after graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Brown University; he kept his image as bland as possible. Just like his fellow students, he also looked for a job solely on his own without any help from his family or relatives, and his first ever employment after college is a trader at the Allen and Company’s Risk Arbitrage Desk. From being a trader, Alex poured out all his effort, skill and knowledge to become a professional businessman. For that reason, as years passed, from starting out as a trader to becoming a board of directors at IAC and W.P. Stewart and Co, Ltd, to finally achieving the Chief Investment Officer at Arrow Capital.

Alex Von Furstenberg became a renowned personality in the business world; he was able to make huge waves and has participated in a number of volunteer activities. The Friends of the High Line is one of his accomplishments that provided New York a beautiful park, he served as is its director. Alex wanted to provide a sense of home or belongingness to the residents of Manhattan as much as possible, that’s also because that’s what he has always wanted, to feel like he belongs to the community without the title of coming from a royal heritage.
